The Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island in Washington was the estate of Prentice and Virginia Bloedel from 1951 to 1986. During that time he established a unique combination of wild forest and ponds and landscaped gardens (including Japanese, moss and English gardens) on their 150 acres. It is now a public garden and a regional treasure - a source of meditation and inspiration throughout the seasons.
