The charming hillside town of Moustier-Ste-Marie is perched at the western entrance to the Gorges du Verdon, the French counterpart to the Grand Canyon. This grand and omniscient but mute door beckoned. For me, it is the counterpoint of the green foliage to the otherwise warm tones of the image that keeps my eye dancing in the photograph.
