We were walking through the serpentine streets of the old section of Lisbon when coming upon this narrow passageway that served as a window to a "newer" section of town. The "Carlos" written on the wall I believe was making a reference to the King of Spain, King Carlos and the backwards "C" was intended as a political statement.
