We saw this boat in the bottom right of the photograph the first day we were in Vernazza, one of the villages in the Cinque Terre on the Ligurian Sea of Italy. It was filled to the brim with water, surely not floating for long, we thought. Three days later when this photograph was taken, it was till afloat. My fantasy is that I could return today and witness it at repose in the same state of quiet equilibrium.
